Hey! I just posted....but, yeah. Anyway, over at Three American Sisters, I'm helping them make a photostory. Check back soon for it.

Anyway, since I've been gone for so long, I'm going to come back with a Short Story, and since it's Memorial Day Weekend, it'll be about...well, you can guess ;).

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
short story by: Doodledog

Felicity blinked open her eyes as sun streamed into the window. She groaned and rolled over, realization gripping her that it was Monday. Possibly being the worst day of the week, and Felicity's least favorite, it brought the end of a weekend and school-two of Felicity's least favorite things.

"Come on, Teetee, you have to get up eventually!" Lizzy said as she pulled on her clothes.

"Yeah, come on. It's Monday!" Amythest called cheerily. Teetee wondered how she could be cheerful about something like that. But she rolled out of bed and went to choose her clothes.

Once everytone was dressed, they went down to breakfast, which surprised Mama.

"What are you all doing up so early?" Mama asked Felicity.

"It's Monday! We have school," Felicity pointed out drowsily.

True, it's Monday, but you don't have school until tomorrow," Mama replied. "It's Memorial Day Weekend."

"What's that?" Lizzy asked as she scooped three pancakes onto her plate and sat down at the table.

"Memorial Day is the day we take to observe the end of the war years ago, and recognize the ones that died fighting." Mama put a plate in Felicity's hand, as she usually had to do on schooldays. Felicity was hard to make sence of and sence to before eight.

"That's sad," Thistle said unhappily. "It's nice of them to fight for us, but it's sad thinking about how they died."

"Yeah," Lizzy agreed. "I think they're mighty brave for doing what they did, though."

"They were very brave," Mama told them. "I mean, they willingly marched onto a battlefield."

"I would never do something like that," Teetee said, blinking as she just began to wake up. "I'd be to freaked out to. But if it gets us a day off of school, I'll remember them for what they did."

Mama smiled. "Well, I suppose we could do something nice today, like...I don't know, go to the beach, anything you like."

"The beach!" Lizzy perked up.

"That sounds really fun! Let's go!" Thistle added happily.

So they finished their breakfast and got their towels and bathing suits together before they piled into the car. The dolls looked at each other with smiles on their faces. And they drove off into the sunset.

THE END

Well, I hope you liked it. I had a lot of fun writing it! Please comment and tell me what you think of it! Thanks!

It's been a while now, huh? Sorry about that. I've had homework, and then, on top of that, I got sick this week :P. I even had to stay home from school on Friday due to a fever!

But, on the bright side, I'm looking foreward to summer! I know some of you are already out (lucky!), but my school ends on June 10th. Two weeks more!

Also, this is a three day weekend...so, yeah. Happy Memorial Day!

The dolls are fine. They're going to post on their blog right after this.

Sorry it's such a short post...expect something soon! Short story, photostory, anything! It will be soon!

I have a new American Girl dress! But it's not from American Girl...can you guess where I got it?

Sorry the pictures aren't too great...I can actually take some really good pictures, but my camera does this weird thing where it just DOESN'T take good pictures indoors...even my mom, who is very experienced in photography, can't get it to work very well indoors. Sometimes, I will take an awesome picture indoors, and I'll be so happy. I want to do a photostory outdoors, since it's so nice outside (or, it was yesterday), like a picnic or something. Sadly, it's raining now.

Anyway, did you guess where I got it?

Well, let's just say it started out as a piece of fabric....

And a little time...

On my hands....

That was a huge hint....so did you guess? If you guessed that I made it, you are correct! Yay! It's pretty raggety, I could have done better, but it was the first dress that I have ever sewn...actually, it's the first article of clothing that I've ever sewn! And it was my second try. The first time, I was sewing it on Felicity, and I accidentally sewed it to her underwear... :O But the second time, I took her underwear off, and I made sure not to sew it to HER. and it worked! Then Teetee fell asleep and Thistle modeled it for my pictures.

Thanks for reading! Please tell me what you think of the dress in a comment (I would have used two different colors of fabric, but that was the only fabric I had...)

Yay! Part 5! Let's see what this brings us.

So, lets take a look at our last hint:

"Some may find this very cold, but others are so distracted by their stomach to care."

Okay, so, lets see. Maybe the freezer...right? It has food, and it would be perfect for hiding everything.

Well, it wasn't there. I nearly freezed my hand off looking through everything!

Well, where was it cold and hosted food?

The fridge.

Right! But I didn't find another clue. I found........

Lucky Bamboo! It's really cute, and I'll post pictures later.

Sadly, however, this concludes the Treasure Hunt...I'll ask the Dolls to put me on another one in a week or so.

Also, they haven't been posting on their blog very much. They have a lot of other things to do...Lizzy's been painting, Thistle's been writing, and Teetee's been seweing. They're doing these a lot more often than usual, so I'm wondering if they even want to keep their blog right now...They even found my prize from their Treasure Hunt, but they never posted it (it was a canvas for Lizzy, really cute pen for Thistle, and some fabric for Teetee).

Well, thanks for reading!

Hey everyone!

With the survey submissions I've gotten so far (see right and vote if you haven't already!), everyone has said that they either sometimes or occasionally have some questions for me. If there's a question, email it to me! I'll answer the question right on my blog! See the page "Contact Girls Only" for more details.

And if you don't have an email? Easy. Just comment on one of my posts! I check back for comments regularly, so there's no way I would miss a question. You can even contact the dolls at my email!

Don't be afraid! I won't bite...if that's even possible in cyber space...

Anyway, just thought I'd let you guys know!

The email for Girls Only is [email protected]* (if this email doesn't work, please notify me).

Thanks!

Hey everyone. I'm posting in pink for Mothers' Day, that seems to be the universal color...anyway, I know that almost all of you that read my blog AREN'T mothers...I mean, this IS a doll blog (but if there are any mothers out there, thanks for reading!!!). But, anyway, all of you, if you have or haven't gotten a present for her, the best thing you can give her would be to tell her "thank you". Those two words mean a lot to mothers, you know? Just say, "Thank you, Mom, thanks for raising me and getting me to how I am now. I love you." And if you don't get along with your mother, take this one day to set aside your differences and say, "thank you. I know we get into fights a lot, but I know that you got me here."

And you know, all of you, if you don't like your mom, it doesn't matter. Think about it. Without her, you wouldn't be who you are today. She raised you, taught you the ways of ther world. If she wasn't here, you really wouldn't be you. You most likely wouldn't look or act the same way. And you like who you are. WE ARE THE GIRLS OF THE WORLD! And we can thank our mothers for it.

So, I know this wasn't exactly a usual message that I put out, but really take the time today. Even if you get this message late, still tell your mom, "Thank you."

Thank you all,
-Doodledog

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been gone so long...I'm actually in a musical called "HONK!" and this week was tech/dress rehersal AND the show! Yesterday was opening night, and there's another night show today. Tomorrow there's a 2:00 and 7:00 PM showing, and on Sunday it's just 2:00 PM.

Anyway, after this week expect more posts (I won't know what to do with my free time!), but for now, here's part 4 of the treasure hunt the Dolls sent me on!

"The internet is a strange thing, sucking us all into it. What do you use possibly the most?"

Above is the latest hint. I had two ideas: books and camera. I figured it might not be on the internet, they might be tricking me, because they don't mention the internet in the second half.

So, first, I checked my favorite books: Queste, The Series of Unfortunate Events, Eragon, and even Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Next: my camera. I thought, maybe they had written the clue out and taken a picture of it with my camera? So I searched through every single one of my pictures. Nothing.

Well, what was there to do? My ideas weren't correct. Maybe on their blog?

No.

But what about mine.......?

Believe it or not, they made a secret page while I was gone at school! The little rascals, how I love them. Click here to go to the page, and I'll also put the next clue below.

"Some may find this very cold, but others are so distracted by their stomach to care."

What could this be? It makes no sense to me....

Until next time,

-Doodledog
